Blast WFC Walks Away With Tie Against Top Ranked Inferno

First Half: Defensive Brilliance

Blast WFC started the game on the defensive end, with goalkeeper Joslynn Metz making an outstanding save early on, setting the tone for a robust defensive performance. Throughout the first half, the Inferno and Blast battled back and forth with phenomenal offense and exciting counter-attacks, keeping fans on the edge of their seats. Despite the thrilling action, the score remained 0-0 at the break, thanks largely to Metz's heroics, ending the game with a total of six saves.

Second Half: Trading Blows

The second half saw the action intensify. In the 51st minute, Lydia Gable of the Inferno managed to put one past Metz, breaking the deadlock. The Blast, undeterred, continued to press forward. Their persistence paid off in the 69th minute when Gracen Houck scored a spectacular long-range free kick that sneaked by Abby Aughe of the Inferno, leveling the score. Riley Ledet was a standout performer, hustling up and down the field and creating numerous chances for herself and her teammates, exemplifying the team’s relentless spirit.
