Baltimore Players to Watch:
The Blast offense is led by Tony Donatelli, Vini Dantas, and Jonatas Melo. Donatelli leads the team in goals (20), assists (19), and points (39). His 39 points are tied for 8th in the MASL and his 19 assists are tied for 7th in the league. Dantas is tied for the team lead with 20 goals and has 31 points on the year. Melo is tied for second on the team with 13 assists and has 21 points this season.
Baltimore’s defense is led by Pat Healey and Adriano Dos Santos. Healey, a 2-time Defender of the Year, leads the team and is second in the MASL with 38 blocked shots this season. Dos Santos is a key contributor both on offense and defense. He has 16 blocked shots this season while also being tied for second on the team in assists (13) and fourth on the team in points (20). Dos Santos will be unavailable to play in Friday’s game due to a point accumulation suspension. He will be eligible to return for Saturday’s game against Florida. Joey Kapinos is in goal for the Blast. He is 4-2 with a 4.83 GAA this season.
The Competition- Milwaukee Wave
Milwaukee is led on offense by Ian Bennett, Max Ferdinand and Marcio Leite. Bennett leads the team with 46 goals and 56 points. His 56 points and 46 goals both rank 2nd in the MASL. Ferdinand leads the MASL with 29 assists and has 40 points on the year, which is 7th in the MASL. Leite is second on the team in goals (16) and assists (16) and has 32 points this season. The Wave defense is led by Jonatan Santos and Drew Ruggles. Santos leads the team with 29 blocked shots, fourth in the MASL. Ruggles has 13 blocked shots, while also recording 10 goals on the year. Josh Lemos is in goal for Milwaukee. His 15 wins leads the MASL and he has a 5.37 GAA this season. Lemos also has recorded three goals and nine assists to contribute to the Wave offense.
The Competition- Florida Tropics
The Tropics are led on offense by Ricardo de Queiroz Diegues, Freddy Moojen, and Mauricio Salles. Diegues leads the team in goals (21), assists (13), and points (34). Moojen is second on the team with 14 goals and 12 assists, for 26 points on the year. Salles is tied with Moojen with 14 goals, and has 21 points this season. Florida’s defense is led by Lucas Montelares and Lucas Teixeira. Montelares has 22 blocked shots on the season, and Teixeira has blocked 15 shots. Piotr Sliwa is in goal for the Tropics. He is 7-7 on the season with a 5.84 GAA.
