The KiXX scored the first goal of the game, midway through the opening quarter, and continued to dominate the first half, scoring seven goals and jumping out to a 14-4 lead. Pat Healey tied the game at 2-2 but the KiXX scored the next three goals and had an 8-2 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The second quarter was more of the same, with the KiXX scoring three goals and Pat Healey being the lone Blast goalscorer.
The Blast scored four unanswered goals in the third quarter to cut the KiXX lead to 14-12 heading into the final quarter of play. Rookie Max Ferdinand scored two goals in the quarter, including a power play goal, and Lucio Gonzaga and MIke Lookingland added goals to cap off the four-goal run.
Pat Morris ended the Blast's run with a goal at 3:07 of the fourth quarter to put the KiXX on top, 16-12, and Ptah Myers scored a last-minute three-point goal against Baltimore's sixth attacker to hand the Blast the 19-12 loss.
The Blast, 11-9, clinched second place in the 2010 MISL regular season and will face the Monterrey La RaZa in a home-and-home Semifinal series that will start Friday the 26th in Monterrey. Game Two will be played Monday the 29th at 1st Mariner Arena.
