In front of 6,473 fans at 1st Mariner Arena, the Blast defeated the Rochester Lancers, 8-7. Four players scored in the victory as the Blast improve to 13-4 with just seven regular season games remaining.
After a scoreless first quarter, and less than 24 hours after Friday night's 18-10 win over the Norfolk SharX, Carlos Garcia scored the first goal of the game to give Baltimore a 2-0 lead. Mike Lookingland added to the Blast lead with just three seconds left in the first half, giving Baltimore a 4-0 halftime lead.
Lubo Kocic put the Lancers on the scoreboard 10 seconds into the third quarter, cutting the Blast lead in half (4-2) but Machel Millwood answered three minutes later to put the Blast on top, 6-2.
Jacob Schindler and Carlos Farias scored fourth-quarter goals forcing the Blast to defend against Rochester's sixth-attacker offense for the final 1:51 but Sagu and the Blast defense prevailed, earning the 8-7 victory. Rookie Blast defender Mike Deasel also scored in the fourth quarter.
Saturday marked the final of four games between the Blast and Lancers this season; the Blast won the season series 4-0.
